This message usually occurs if you have recently reinstalled or transferred the app.
Episode releases updates to small batches of players at a time to make sure everything is working properly before releasing updates to all players. Usually about 5% of players will receive an update early.
If you are having an error requesting you to update your app, this is because your account was part of this 5% early update test group. Reinstalling the app will cause your device to lose access to the new update until it is fully released 100% to all players, which may take some time.
Unfortunately, our Support Team is unable to manually repair this issue for you. At this time the only available solution is to wait for the update to be released to all players.
This error message can also occur if you are transferring to an older device that is incompatible with Episode. Starting with Episode version 10.5 we can no longer support 32-bit devices.
As of March 2023, Android 1~25 devices are no longer supported. In order to continue playing Episode, you will need to change to a device that has at minimum Android 26 installed (ie. Android 8 and higher). For iOS devices, iOS 14 and down are no longer supported. You may continue to play the app on devices with iOS 13-14, however, if you uninstall you will no longer be able to install it again. iOS 12 and down will no longer play the app.
We’re so sorry for any inconvenience this has caused and thank you for your patience.
