TWO KINDS OF TROOPS

Atlas Troops reworked into Offensive and Defensive Troops: you will no longer need to choose between using your Troops for attacking or using them to defend a position.

  • Personal Troops (Offensive) are used only for attacking other players and are no longer attached to any Castle.
    • When trained, these Troops will still be automatically loaded onto any Primarchs you have stationed at your Home castle.
    • Troops in excess of your total Primarch Troop capacity are placed in your barracks so that you may add them to a Primarch at any friendly/allied/neutral castle later on.
      • You can view how many overall reserved Troops you have at the “Barracks” infrastructure building in the castle.
      • Troops in your Inventory cannot be attacked.
      • Troops on your Primarch cannot be returned to your barracks once loaded onto a Primarch.
  • Castle Guards (Defensive) are hired to a castle’s Fort solely to defend against attacks.
    • A castle is limited to 2,000,000 Castle Guard at Fort level 3 and then increased by 250,000 per Fort Upgrade up to 5,000,000 at level 12.
    • 10% of the Castle Guard Maximum on each castle can be hired daily.
(Important note: with the new Atlas Castle Defense Updates, daily hiring is now at 12% of max capacity.)
    • Once hired at a castle, these are permanently attached to that castle and cannot be moved or transferred in any way.

    • Your team earns 0.7 of a point of Team Glory for each point of personal glory you earn (like medals).
      • Team Glory is used by the Fort’s Marshal to hire more Castle Guards at a rate of 1 Team Glory for 1 Castle Guard
      • Team Glory is still earned even if your team does not currently own a contestable castle.
    • When attacked, the Fort's Castle Guards are defended by:
      • The Marshal's base IF the castle is level 4 or above.
      • An NPC/AI base IF there is no Marshal assigned OR the castle is level 3 or below.

    • In terms of combat stats, Castle Guards behave like a Primarch whose levels depend on the Fort:
      • In addition to granting +20 ATK/DEF to all Primarchs on the castle, the Fort also gives its Castle Guards +24.1 DEF per level after level 1.

What happens to Castle Guards if upkeep is not paid?

If your castle's Upkeep is unpaid, then all the Castle Guards disappear! Don't let this happen!

While Castle Guard disappears from the castle, it is actually transformed into Team Glory which can then be re-used by the team to hire new castle guards. 75% are turned into Team Glory automatically upon Gustav taking over and 25% is lost permanently as punishment for not paying the upkeep.
