For a given story in a given period, earnings are based on the number of reads (and gems, if applicable) during that period and for that story.

Separately, we calculate the value of each read (the “monthly rate”) at the overall Episode platform level based on a variety of factors. This monthly rate is calculated at the end of the calendar month with respect to such previous month. It may change from month to month, but the same rate is used for all writers.

Your earnings for a given period are calculated by multiplying your total monthly reads by the monthly rate, for that period.

If you include gem options in your stories you may also qualify for a Gem Bonus Payment option as part of your monthly earnings.
