Some scenes have a table overlay that makes it possible for your character to appear seated. You can use the “sits” and “sits lower” commands to make them sit down.

Sitting Syntax:

@CHARACTER sits POSITION

@CHARACTER sits lower POSITION

Examples:

@ANGIE sits screen right

@HAYES sits lower screen left

 Males are taller and usually need to appear lower to appear more natural. This is not needed in all overlay backgrounds, so you will need to guess and check.

A few examples of supported sitting scenes include:

• INT. TABLE - DAY

• INT. RESTAURANT BOOTH - NIGHT

• INT. CLASSROOM DESK - DAY

            *IMPORTANT*

Given their depth and perspective, some backgrounds do not make sense to have people standing in the background of, so you will need to play through your game and make sure this looks okay.
